World Religion Day

January 19

World Religion Day, the third Sunday in January, has been celebrated in many ways throughout the world since 1950. It’s origin is with the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the United States, natural expression of the fundamental Bahá’í teaching of the essential unity of all religions, races, nations and peoples. It has come to be observed by many religious groups, in various ways, supporting interfaith dialogue, understanding and appreciation. It recognizes and seeks to advance the idea and ideal of world unity in which the world’s religions can play a significant role in addressing the needs of humanity.

This is a great day to have a conversation with someone of a different Faith than your own, host or attend a faith gathering, or be creative in expanding your connection with another Faith group.
